Sad to see you go

I'm really angry right now. I just read a final entry to one of my favorite blogs & the author of this blog is saying farewell because they have been cyber stalked, as well as stalked in reality, they have now been threatened. I'm so pissed. I do not understand why people can't just leave other people alone!! I mean come on. I am praying for my blog friend, I hope they find whoever it is harassing them & that they will be able to feel peace once again in their life!

Turkey Day!

Happy (early) Thanksgiving to everyone! I am thankful for my family! I'm thankful for the house we are building. I'm thankful for my health & the health of my family. I hope everyone has a safe & joyous holiday!

Life...

As I travel my life path, I need to remember I am not perfect & it is O.K. if I fall, as long as I get up again. Learn from mistakes & keep it moving. Just for today I will not let "life" keep me down. I will count my blessings & know that I have it way better than I probably deserve.

Wow...

I had an amazing visit with my mom. It's always such a blessing to have her come! I wish she lived closer. It's always so exciting to get her here, but the last day of her visit is depressing & it's SO sad to see her go... esspecially since I know it will be awhile before we see eachother again. I sure love my momma.

Mommy's coming!

I am so excited! My mom is flying in early tomorrow morning! I haven't seen her since my wedding (almost 9 monthes). I took the week off work so her & I & my beautiful baby girl (who is not much a baby anymore - almost 2), anyway... so us girls can have some time together!! It will be wonderful!! I'll dish all the details. I am grateful for my wonderful relationship with my mom. And with my daughter & that the 3 of us can bond together! xxoo

socks

You know, I was thinking the other day about good things. But it seems we as a society celebrate the BIG good things & they are great, don't get me wrong, but for me it's the real simple small good things that make me smile. Like socks. Brand new socks. They are absolutley perfect. Kinda thick & cushy in a way... I LOVE new socks. I also like the smell of the air after a good rain. Simple, but awesome.
Like I said, big good things are good as well, but it's the simple small things that really get my grins. So, what simple small things make you smile?

For the love of music...

If anyone looked at my CD collection or my MP3's they would think they'd met " Sybil "!! And the CDs I've burned... I LOVE them! You may think it's music insanity though!! The one I'm loving on lately has good stuff like David Gray "This Years Love", Rage Against the machine "Killing In The Name", Aretha Franklin "Respect", Limp Bizkit "Break Shit" & Led Zepplin "Fool in the Rain" to name a few. I have such a wide love a music... Black Eyed Peas are slammin'!! I Love B.B. King & Joe Cocker, Trouble Funk, George Clinton... I could go on & on!! I can also get a groove to some 40's big band swing!! Not a country music fan (sorry) - but just want to swim in about anything else!! Ahhhhh....music! It soothes my soal, makes me dance, & sing at the top of my lungs!! Hip - hip hooray to music & those wonderful, talented folks who make it!! Big love for ya!!
